The instrument:

Bruker currently has a major analytical, application, training and demonstration facility in the National NMR Laboratory in Bucharest. The equipment (Bruker Avance DRX 400 MHz) is the best equipped liquid-state NMR spectrometer available to date in Romania and some neighbor countries.

On request we perform demonstrations, training, applications, or analytical activities for Bruker customers who purchased any type of Bruker equipment in the last 10 years.

Those institutions who cannot afford to purchase a whole NMR spectrometer may purchase shares (and corresponding access time) to the Avance 400 spectrometer in Bucharest. For details, contact Dr. Calin Deleanu (calind@fx.ro).

The magnet uses the auto-shielding technology (introduced by Bruker in 1996), the generated magnetic field is 9.4 Tesla, with the hydrogen resonance frequency of 400 MHz, the spectrometer is fully digital (technology developed by Bruker in 1994), and the spectrometer is controlled entirely by a PC (a revolution in the field, developed by Bruker in 1998). The spectrometer is equipped with field gradients on the z axis, a direct detection dual probehead for hydrogen and carbon, an inverse detection multinuclear probehead and other accessories such as Variable Temperature Unit, Antivibration Dumpers, etc.
